Dear  Friends ,
I am writing to seek your help in publicising  new programmes at Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Women's Studies Center .

The UGC sponsored Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Women's Studies Center is one of the few Women's Studies Centers in India that seeks to integrate teaching, research, dissemination of information and
extension programme in Womens Studies at both the post-graduate and undergraduate levels. The new MA Course in Gender, Culture and Development Studies  at the Centre is a part of our Center's
commitment to re imagining higher education, more specifically the questions of quality and equality –by focusing quality of access and on diverse student composition as a resource for better learning .We
are keen to have students who want to join us in this exercise of transforming Higher Education. There is also an option of doing One-year full time Diploma for those with work experience or seeking
to build a specialisation in gender studies after a Masters degree.

Located in a state university with a  socially diverse student composition , the programme with it new features like bridge courses and  integrated modular training workshops that seek to bring the
theory and practice of gender on the same site offers interesting opportunities.

The ADVT for 2011 has been published in the local newspapers and last date for  sending in completed application forms is 20th July  (forms are available online at
http://www.unipune.ac.in/university_files/admission/womanstudiesMA-diploma11-12.pdf)
