Ban Endosulfan | Join the Campaign

UNITE FOR GLOBAL BAN ON THE DEADLY CHEMICAL ENDOSULFAN

Raise your voice for the poor people those suffer from severe health problems created by this highly toxic pesticide.

Mission

Mission of this campaign is to get rid of the deadly chemical Endosulfan from India. Be part of an international movement to get governments ban this chemical from use.

Why Goverment stay back from banning Endosulfan?
India's share in the global endosulfan market is over 70 per cent with an annual production of 12 million litres valued at Rs 4,500 crore. The Indian industry claims that endosulfan is soft on pollinators such as honeybees and beneficial pests such as ladybird beetle while killing harmful ones and, therefore, there is no need for a ban.

Your Success depends on your Attitude

Have you heard of Roger Bannister? He was the first athlete to run the mile in less than four minutes.

In doing so, he not only broke the four-minute barrier, but also taught us all a valuable lesson.

Back in the 1950's, the world record - 4 minutes 1.4 seconds - was held by Sweden's Ginder Haegg. The record stood for several years since it was set in 1945. Athletes, experts and the world were convinced that it was impossible to run a mile in less than four minutes. Some even argued that the human body was biologically incapable of running the mile in less than four minutes!

THE DEATH OF JESUS

At the age of 33,Jesus was condemned to the death penalty. At the time, crucifixion was the "worst" death.Only the worst criminals were condemned to be crucified.Yet, it was even more dreadful for Jesus. For unlike other criminals condemned to death by crucifixion, Jesus was nailedto the cross by His Hands and Feet, rather than tied.

Facts about Anna Hazare and Jan Lok Pal Bill

10 things to know about Anna Hazare and Jan Lok Pal Bill:

1. Who is Anna Hazare?

An ex-army man. Fought 1965 Indo-Pak War. Anna Hazare is one of India's well-acclaimed social activists. A former soldier in the Indian army, Anna is well known and respected for upgrading the ecology and economy of the village of Ralegan Siddhi which is located in the drought prone Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra state. The erstwhile barren village has metamorphosed into a unique model of rural development due to its effective water conservation methods, which made the villagers self-sufficient. Earlier, the same village witnessed alcoholism, utter poverty and migration to urban slums. Inspired by Hazare’s unique approach of salvaging a hopeless village, the state government has implemented the `Model Village’ scheme as part of its official strategy. Hazare is now synonymous with rural development in India. More..

Anna Hazare fasting against corruption - support him

Dear friends across India,

Anna Hazare has committed to fast-unto-death -- unless the government agrees to consider a powerful law to rid India of the scourge of corruption. But dirty politicians are trying to squash it. Let's stand with him and ramp up the pressure on Prime Minister Singh to endorse the bill and clean up politics. Sign now and send this email to everyone:
Right now, Anna Hazare, a 73-year-old Gandhian, sits fasting in the burning sun, and he will stay until death -- unless the government agrees to consider a powerful law that could rid Indian politics of the scourge of corruption.

This “Modern Mahatma” is taking the utmost act of courage and determination to push through a bill that would give an independent body the power to punish corruption -- even in the Prime Minister’s office. Across the country a movement has exploded, driving a media storm of pressure that’s engulfing Singh. But dirty politicians are desperately trying to water down or kill the law.

For the first time in forty three years, we have the chance to change the way politics is done. Let's join together and stand with Anna Hazare to tackle corruption and clean up Indian politics. We have no time to lose -- sign the petition to be delivered directly to Prime Minister Singh and reported to the media, and forward this email to everyone:
